Photographs
& quiet things
A personal archive of moments gathered between hospital shifts — across Japan, along the California coast, and close to home with a few small, curly companions. Mostly shot on a Canon EOS R8.
Selected work

Places, in passing
Kyoto lanes and boat houses on the Sea of Japan, northern Italian lakes, windward coastlines, small moments from further afield.

Eyes in the brush
Shot at 400mm when it mattered. Patience rewarded by hummingbirds, a monkey, a leopard, a sleeping sloth.

At home, on leash
Small dogs, long walks, a few still moments between the two.

Above the bay
Blue Angels over the Golden Gate, a quiet moon at 400mm, wind turbines at dusk.

A second discipline
Emmanuel Carrodeguas
By day, I'm an emergency radiologist with Vision Radiology, reading across time zones to support physicians and patients when imaging can't wait.
My training runs MIT to Harvard Medical School to UCSF, where I completed residency in Diagnostic Radiology and two consecutive fellowships — Abdominal/Ultrasound Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. I'm board certified in the United States and Canada, hold licenses in multiple states, and am dual-boarded in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Earlier in my training I worked with the Center for Evidence-Based Imaging at Brigham and Women's Hospital on machine learning and natural language processing applied to radiology reports; that work has appeared in Radiology and the Journal of Clinical Medicine.
Photography is the counterweight. On days off — and on nearly every trip — I'm usually carrying a Canon EOS R8 and one of three lenses. What ends up here is mostly travel and mostly pets. Thanks for looking.
